Today is my last day at Work

If my world were to cave in tomorrow, I would look back on all the pleasures, excitements and worthwhileness I have been lucky enough to have had. Not the sadness, not my miscarriages or my father leaving home, but the joy of everything else. It will have been enough. – Audrey Hepburn

If anyone knows this movie (Priscilla) you know what this image symbolizes.
If you haven't seen the movie, you really should.

Tomorrow morning we load ourselves into a 26' moving van and leave Halifax for a new adventure.

Thanks Halifax for all the good times, and the not so good. The not so good are important too. That's how we learn – self-control, charity, patience, empathy, etc. (Not sure I did a good job on any of them!)

It's going to be quite a change, feeling as big as going from Sydney, Australia to the outback like in the movie. Of course that's an exaggeration to make a point. We'll only be 1-1/2 hours away from Halifax, so it can even be a spur-of-the-moment trip. You know, for Chinese sausage or asafoetida.

It should be interesting. We'll all keep in touch I promise. Watch out calm, happy country life. Here we come!

I may be posting a little sporadically over the next few days, what with the moving and all... Look for me the start of next week. At the very least to talk about the travails of moving!
:-)

Best always, - D.
